History
The history of Accurate Alignment began with a dream of two auto technicians to work for themselves. In 1954 Cliff Broehm met Arden Ueeck and the two of them set out on a journey. They contacted the Beeline Manufacturing Company in Iowa to purchase automotive wheel alignment equipment. With the encouragement of the Beeline rep. they determined to call the new business – Accurate Alignment.
The first place of business was a rental building at 721 W. Washington, with two machines equipped for front wheel alignment or automobile frame straightening.
As business grew in those first years, the addition of a frame technician made it clear that it was time for a new location. The move to 2701 W. College Ave in 1960 happened at a time when there were more pheasants than people in this “new frontier” of Appleton. The new four bay shop provided a bright and modern atmosphere for customers and an expandable location for the business to grow. In fact this new building would be expanded twice. As business volume grew, more technicians were added. With the expansions came the addition of truck alignment and frame straightening. These two areas of business continue to be Accurate’s principle focus today.
As truck service increased, it became obvious that the property on College Avenue had limitations. Drive through bays would be needed to service the largest trucks and trailers. Parking limitations would not allow for the increased traffic. In 1974, Accurate relocated to its present home, on a 5-1/2 acre site at 3020 W. Franklin Street. The original building on Franklin Street vastly increased the capacity for customer service. There were multiple offices and a customer waiting area. The automotive shop featured ten bays, with two frame straightening bays, an open floor bay and post hoist bay. The truck shop consisted of 12 bays with alignment and frame straightening machines, a bay with a drive-over pit and overhead cranes to provide additional capacity for repair. By 1979, the number of employees had grown from the original 2 to 19. The primary focus of Accurate’s business continued to be suspension and wheel alignment services.
In the 1980’s two areas of business were added. A Fleet Maintenance division worked a second shift schedule and performed routine maintenance and mechanical repair on trucks involved in delivery and service during the day. The Fleet Maintenance division worked from a building added to the north of the main building. Though the Fleet Maintenance division as an entity no longer exists, Accurate continues to offer fleet maintenance services to its customers. Pick-up and delivery as well as fleet service tracking are available.
Through the years, replacement parts were always inventoried in various quantities, for the use of Accurate technicians. In 1988 the sale of parts became a primary focus as Accurate Suspension Warehouse was added to the building. In time, outside and inside sales technicians would supply suspension repair parts, replacement springs and rubber products to repair shops across NE Wisconsin.
An opportunity to broaden the product line into industrial abrasives and cutting materials brought the development of Accurate Industrial Sales in 2001. With bandsaw blades, cutting and grinding wheels, safety supplies and more, Accurate Industrial became an additional resource of supply for our repair shop and both wholesale and retail customers.

...trustworthy people who care more about people, know their trade and are passionate about their community.
